Local congresswoman welcomes new commanding general for Picatinny Arsenal
Schneider serves as the Portfolio Acquisition Executive Agile Sustainment and Ammunition (PAE AS&A) and Commanding General of Picatinny Arsenal since June 2026.
The PAE AS&A is an innovative and empowered team committed to rapidly fielding dominating capabilities to the Soldier. The PAE AS&A is responsible for development, procurement and fielding lethal armaments and ammunition, providing Joint Warfighters and Allied Partners overmatch capabilities. This includes integrating budgets, acquisition strategies, research and development and life-cycle management across all armament and ammunition families. PAE AS&A is located at Picatinny Arsenal and is comprised of four project offices, and serves as the Single Manager for Conventional Ammunition.
